You are cordially invited to participate in the 36th Annual Los Angeles Environmental Education Fair (LAEEF) “Spring into Green.”

 

LAEEF is to be held Saturday, March 14th, 2016 from 9am to 3pm at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia. This event is free for exhibitors to attend and staff a booth.

 

Join us as several thousand families, educators, scouting groups, and students from all over the Los Angeles area will come to network with local environmental community resources and learn about lifestyle solutions that impact the health of our planet through hands-on workshops and in-booth presentations. Other event activities include sustainable food sampling, tours, multicultural music, science scavenger hunts, art activities, eco-friendly demonstrations, and nature games for all ages.

 

In lieu of a booth fee, we request that exhibitor’s contribute to the interactive nature of this event by incorporating an educational and hands-on opportunity at their booth. Other appropriate display materials include educational resources, event flyers, membership information, plants, raffle prizes, live animals, and catalogs. Please review the attached vendor policy for those who wish to sell merchandise.

 

The fair also serves as a platform to recognize classrooms from around Los Angeles County who will be there to display their environmental services projects completed during the 2014-2015 school year. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots will be bringing students from all over Los Angeles County to participate in the event. We urge exhibitors to walk through the youth displays and recognize the students’ hard work as well as engage these young leaders in the mission of your own environmental agency. Founded in 1991 by Dr. Jane Goodall and a group of Tanzanian students, the program empowers youth to design and implement community based service-learning projects to create lasting change for people, animals and the environment.
